Well, today was board (bored) meeting day again, and the senile administrative assistant was gone, so I took minutes. Hopefully they noticed that there was much less "What? Did somebody make a motion?" and more "You might keep on your radar that there will be about 150 permits coming up that request this specific exception." However, they are serving on this board for something akin to $100 a month, plus free food on meeting day, so I really can't expect too much.
After the board meeting, I chased down some loose ends (no, that is not a euphemism for a hooker's girl parts) then got my brain to cranking on how to rearrange the office so that we could have a centrally located filing system and still fit all the people in their offices. Ended up, with the help of the new girl, I came up with a solution that not only gathered our files, but allowed the new girl and the intern to go to another office besides my own to work! So I get my desk back! Much IM'ing with omphale will ensue. Back to our regularly scheduled once a day chat, hopefully.
OK, now I'm going to go try to convince my hubby to take me out to see a fellow who's last name is Wylie play at the Midnight Rodeo in Amarillo tonight.
