1:07 p.m. - 2005-09-26 Has anybody seen a tenaculum? I wish I hadn't. Look nice and close at that picture, and think of it without the nice rubber coated tips, then think about that being used to hold your cervix still with enough pressure for someone to force a tube through it. Yeah. Painful. For some reason my cervix was inflamed and they had to have help getting the IUI in last Thursday. My husband thought I was tough for not crying at the sight of that thing, and I may have to agree that he's right. So, here we go with the waiting. I go today so get a progesterone check, which will indicate whether the hormones did in fact make me ovulate or not. Last time I was on this stuff, the progesterone tests indicated it only actually worked the first month. So I'm really nervous about it even working this time. Come on ovaries! You can do it! Other than that, not much news. I had a hot date to go see the local college football team play Saturday. We had a fun night, and they actually won. This is the first time in probably 25 years that they have had a team at all. Before this season, it was a major accomplishment if they scored in a game. More importantly than them winning, though, is that I got a free burrito. Taco Villa said if they scored 28 points and they won, they'd give a free combo burrito to everybody with a ticket stub. YEAAAA for Taco Villa! |
