White Trash Mama
The 4th of July entries across the internet were a very interesting read. Seems like either people spend this holiday at the beach, complaining about their white trash neighbors, or reliving the awful times of their childhood. More people that I would have suspected remember horrid things about their childhood that are associated with this holiday, and I guess that makes sense. On a holiday where extra booze is the rule and emotions are running high things can go from bad to worse in a hurry.

This year I'm thankful I didn't have any neighbors keeping me up until the middle of the night with fireworks. Also, there were no white trash idiots who left their fireworks trash spread all over the place. I must live in a TOTALLY white trash free neighborhood!

Did I mention that I just bought my 4 months in utero baby its first rifle? I've been living in borrowed maternity clothes and accepting free baby stuff from anybody who is giving it away, but I by golly spent money on a rifle for the baby.

Like I said, no white trash around here!

(Not that I've been looking for a rifle just like this or anything. That's not the deal AT ALL. Seriously. Not. At. All.)

In other news, I finally sold my precious, beloved Toyota Avalon. It was about to roll 197,000 miles, and we decided it was a good time to put her out to greener pastures. An older married couple bought it for exactly what I wanted out of it, and now I'm in the market for a newer, prettier Toyota Avalon. In the meantime, I'm vehicle-less except for my work car (the Crown Vic of Doom, and Master of Car Sickness). It's been pretty nice just going home and hanging out. (I hired a girl to clean every other week during the summer, so I've been cleaning in preperation for her to come the last couple of days.) You'd think my husband would be ok with this arrangement, since I am, but no. He's totally freaking out. Why? Because I can't run his errands for him anymore. Keep in mind that for me to "run" to the parts store is AT LEAST a half hour one way. Like I said, I'm kinda enjoying it.

The little dude(ette) in my tummy has been really active. The movements are getting lots stronger, and my husband can hear them if he's listening at my tummy now. The horrid back pain that was plaguing me has faded, so I'm considering painting the nursery this weekend. Since I have to paint the ceiling and all, it's going to be quite a job. However, since the cleaning girl is there today, I should be free all weekend to do as I please! (Can you tell I'm a little bit excited about hiring a cleaning person? Especially one who I KNOW and TRUST to be in my house? Yeah, I'm kinda over the guilt and directly into the estatic-ism. Or whatever.)

I suck at endings, so sunshine and rainbows, you guys.
